Doing Something Nice
I am a nurse at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and it is always difficult to work with sick children. There is an organization, however, that helps me do my job. It is Quilts for Kids, Inc. Quilts for Kids, Inc. transforms discontinued designer fabrics into quilts that comfort children with cancer, AIDS, and other life-threatening illnesses as well as battered & abused children. Our goal is to link design centers nationwide to their communities, so that children in need in those regions may be served. The smiles on both the kids, and their families, helps to make the pain bearable for a brief moment. This wonderful organization can always use your help. Do you have fabric pieces you aren't using, can you donate money, or a gift card to Walmart or JoAnn's fabric, can you quilt (they will send you all the squares and all you have to do is sew them together)? Check out their website: www.quiltsforkids.org and do something nice today. Thank you Linda Ayre for all you do. |
